Fig & Ricotta Sourdough Tartine

Fig & Ricotta Sourdough Tartine

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 slices artisanal sourdough, toasted
  • ½ cup fresh ricotta
    4–5 ripe figs, sliced
  • 2 tsp Valèvida Premium Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1–2 tsp raw honey
  • Small handful slivered almonds (or any nut you have handy)
  • Fresh thyme sprigs (or mint)
  • Pinch of cracked black pepper
  • Pinch of salt (optional)

STEPS

  1. Toast sourdough slices until crisp and golden.
  2. Spread ricotta evenly over each slice.
  3. Arrange fig slices on top, slightly overlapping.
  4. Sprinkle with nuts for crunch.
  5. Drizzle with honey, then with Valèvida EVOO.
  6. Finish with thyme leaves and cracked black pepper and salt (optional).
  7. Serve immediately while the bread is crisp.
